Press Release Summary: A university student is seeking sponsorship for an extraordinary opportunity...
Press Release Body: STATESBORO, GA. Kristin Marzec, a 20-year-old student of the Georgia Southern University, has been nominated to represent the local branch of the Golden Key International Honor Society at the 2009 University Presidential Inaugural Conference, scheduled for January 17-21, 2009.
The nomination tops off Kristin Marzec\'s three-year long educational career at the Georgia Southern University. "I\'m so happy. I have always wanted to attend such a great event," says Marzec, who was also elected to the prestigious edition of Who\'s Who Among American College Students. In addition, she is a member of several honors societies and her name has appeared numerous times on the GSU Dean\'s List and President\'s List. In February of 2008, Kristin Marzec joined the Student Operated Press where she works as an editor.
The University Presidential Inaugural Conference is a wonderful opportunity for students and alumni to see national politics from a close perspective. As the conference organizers inform on their website, the event enables young people to "personally witness the historic event of the presidential inauguration and challenges students to greatly enhance their understanding of a presidential campaign."
Since the Conference is unable to cover the necessary attendance costs, Kristin Marzec is looking for sponsors who would help her make her dreams come true. "The most expensive portion of the Conference is the tuition, but we also have to take care of our own travel costs," says Marzec. The tuition alone costs $2,870, a sum that significantly exceeds her financial abilities. "I hope I'll be able to attend," she says, adding that even a small contribution from a company or an individual could make a difference.
The 2009 University Presidential Inaugural Conference in Washington, DC will start on January 17, 2009, and last four days. Until now Kristin Marzec has watched America\'s political elite only on her television set. But due to her great talent and hard work, she has won a chance to meet the president and other statesmen in person. "It's an amazing opportunity!"
Kristin Marzec was born on June 2, 1987, in San Diego, CA. When she was six years old, she moved with her parents to Topeka, KS, where she finished as an honor student of Topeka West High School in 2005. The same year, Marzec began her B.A. program in Psychology at Georgia Southern University. She will graduate in December of 2008. Apart from studying, she spends her time volunteering, tutoring, and participating in various community activities and organizations.
